For a day out in Glasgow at a July photo walk organised by Stu Morrison, I dusted off my Holga 120GCFN. This is by far the fanciest version of the plastic camera I’ve ever owned, not least because it sports a glass lens.
Two other Holgas I have kicking about produce middling results (one is better than the other), with just a few too many light leaks for my taste, even when they’re taped up to within an inch of resembling Frankenstein’s monster.
The posh Holga also features a flash above the lens, with a colour filter that can be rotated in front of it in true lomography style. I don’t use the colours; just keep it clear, and it provides useful fill flash for the portraits. Given the simplicity of this setup, every little bit helps.
