We’re having a beautiful summer in Scotland this year, including sunshine–never a given, here–which is the perfect time to take a walk. Including with the Soviet-made Helios 44m-4 58mm f/2 lens, which produces lovely, swirly bokeh. Provided it’s got sufficient amounts of light to work with.
I took it for a spin at Dundee’s Western Cemetery, which has beautiful old monuments, lots of greenery and plenty of flowers in bloom. For a side of brutalist architecture, I did a walk too past the School of Life Sciences in the Medical Sciences Institute (MSI) at the University of Dundee.
I made these photos using my Fuji X-T5 with a Mitakon Lens Turbo MD mount to attach the Helios. Kudos to Danish photographer Jonas Rask, not the first time, for his inspiration.
