Here’s to seeing new establishments debut in Dundee’s West End. The latest newcomer: EH9 Espresso at 248 Perth Road.
Cue lovely indoor space with good street views, but more importantly, an excellent barista and beans and phenomenal flat whites.
I love the takeaway cups, which play on the iconic Desperate Dan — world’s strongest man, able to lift cows with just one arm — that featured in The Dandy, a long-running comic magazine published by Dundee-based publisher DC Thomson (which continues to publish The Scots Magazine).
There’s a case full of baked goods as well — cookies, brownies — but I have not yet gone down that path. No doubt one day soon.
