Fun with old lenses on digital bodies: I picked up an inexpensive Pentax Super-Takumar 55mm f/2 (Late Model II, produced circa 1973–1974) lens, in part because I already had an adapter to fit my Fuji. Also, people who’ve used the lens sing its praises — especially for black & white, owing to it having lower contrast than more modern lenses. (I think it’s a question of coatings?)
Anyway, I took it for a spin in the rain. (I didn’t know it was going to rain quite so much as it did.) And it was fun to try it out. Definitely it has a different look.
Sending a super-belated cheers to David Howell for the recommendation.
